balearic guitar action
Prins Thomas here with the b-side of 'FEEL SPACE'
'ROMA e6' mixing up rhumba piano lines
with beautiful Spanish guitar
gentle percussion & shoaring hippy-prog electric guitar.
The track slowly builds up & then melts away again,
leaving a felling of blissfull balearic sunshine behind

thinking of you
In the days when Louie Vega was still producing music and not trash he created masterpieces.Along with his partner Kenny Dope they left behind a legacy of remixes original material and compilations. They are The Masters At Work.Or more exact they were..Back at those glorious days they produced songs like ''Pienso En Ti''.Featuring some astonishing guitar work from Louis Salinas.More in the vein of the Nuyorican Soul Lp than their house productions "Pienso En Ti'' stands out as one of the many highlights of their career.Imagine i have both copies on vinyl..Just in case.

walking through heaven
Originally coming from Throbbing Gristle this ''couple'' produced some prototype electro during the 80's.Their biggest hit was October Lovesong. This piece comes from their album ''Songs Of Love and Lust'' and is called Walking Through Heaven.

paper moon
I've always thought that certain deep house tracks were the spine of the new balearic scene championed by dj's like Phil Mison(now Reverso 68).This one comes from the Netherlands and was produced in 1994.It came out on Touche records. Its one of the best deep house tracks ever. Its 51 Days with Paper Moon.

rise
This is such a good feel video.Sea,romance and music. What more can you ask.As for the song it's the sound of summer.Mr Herb Albert and his trumpet in full balearic jazz funk. From his classic 1979 album "Rise".And if that's not enough i ve added "Rotation" as well cause i think these two songs go down better together.
go with me
Are you going with me??Why this soft jazz guy again? The thing is i like a lot of songs from Pat Metheny.Weird huh?Well everybody has problems.Eventually i ended up with this one.An epic balearic monster and its the live version. It's an all time favourite.Tunes like this one never wear out.And can take you to a place between heaven and earth. So go with me

long train runnin'
FUNK MACHINE - LONG TRAIN RUNNIN'
http://www.zshare.net/audio/14146591554
Doobie Brothers"Long Train Runnin'", originally pre-worked as "Osborne" in 1972 was finally released in 1973 under its current title. The song bears a noticeable resemblance to Led Zeppelin's "Trampled Under Foot" from their February 1975 album Physical Grafitti which in turn resembles Stevie Wonder's "Superstition", though neither band has confirmed nor denied inspiration from the other.
The song was covered by many artist along with Bananarama , Gypsy Kings and Traks.
I prefer Funk Machine's version back in 82'.Taken from

drummer boy
Believe it or not this kid played drums with Santana's band at Woodstock. And is one of the best drummers ever. His name is Michael Shrieve and in 1986 he made an album with keyboard german maestro Klaus Schulze called Transfer Station Blue. This is the eponymous track and its a magical tune.

TANGERINE DREAM
Tangerine Dream is perhaps the premier exponent of electronic "rock" music. This German group can take significant credit in introducing synthesizer/sequenced electronic music to most of the western rock world. The Dream's spacey, pulsing music earned them a tenatious cult following.
This one "Love On A Real Train" it's from the soundtrack of "Risky Business" starring Tom Cruise.

why why why ?
the summer of '87 started it all.
And the track would be "Why" by the Woodentops,
because of the energy and the spirit of it.
It was always the last track of the night and people would just go mad for it.

the age of reason
This track is by a guy called John Farnham. The only thing i know about this guy is that he is from Australia and that he is very succesful there. The other thing i know is that he had two minor hits in the 80's with You're the Voice and The Age of Reason. The second one is quite a winner so i thought i should give it a re-edit to make it sound a even better. So here is the result.

''on'' the beach
If i have to think of one of the most played videos in MTV"s chillout zone(the best show ever by the way) then it has to be Aphex Twin's ''On".The video is on of the most surreal and amazing videos to watch.I can remember myself staying up really late just to watch it.And listen to it.And then i could fall asleep happy.

tranquility
Viny Reilly used to be one of my indie heroes back at the time when i thought that Factory records was the only label that produced music for my ears. His band the Durruti Column was one of the strangest bands on the label.Their name was takne from an anrchist party that was active during the Spanish Civil war.Their music was the blueprint for many electronic ambient acts to come later.A really different aproach from all the new wave bands of their time.Well Otis is an all time favourite and it can be bring great results to people with stress and anxiety during nightime.Like a sideffect free pill or something..

divine
Nothing to do with the dfa style disco boys ''Holy Ghost".Holy Ghost Inc. was an 90's electronic outfit which produced two quintessential pieces of leftfield deep house music. The first one being Mad Monks On Zinc.I think this track is one of the cornerstones of quality trance music.Even if you have never listened to it the first time it hits you it seems like you've heard it hundreds of times. The second classic of this outfit is Walk On air.A really obscure deep house track that cmae into surface with the realease of David Mancuso's The loft 2.This tune is an experience with no words to describe it.There is truly something divine about it.I used to open my sets with this track almost every time back in my djing days.Sit back relax and enjoy it.
Holy Ghost Inc.-Walking on Air(Sun and Moon Mix)
Ray de Copas
This track first came out 1989.SInce then it has been remixed noumerous times by almost everyone and in any version its just amazing. It sent the standards for any latin based house to come later. It still sounds so fresh today. This mix is Grid's hard to find dub version.Flamenco magic at its best!!
